Aur Island is located 80 kms off Mersing on the northeast coast of Johore. Being the furthest offshore, it is among the last unspoiled marine paradise in West Malaysia, famous as the region's foremost Black Marlin fishing locale. Each year, from February to November, anglers from all over will gather at the surrounding waters just for a chance to battle with this magnificent fish. Being the furthest offshore also mean visibility is usually good and chances to encounter large pelagic fish is very high. Whale sharks and manta ray have been spotted. Diving ranges from rock boulders, submerged reef to wreck. Divers of all levels of training will enjoy this dive location. The channel between Aur and Dayang also offers rich coral reefs and relatively shallow waters. At the middle of the channel lies a sunken aircraft wrapped in fishing net. There is even a Ming wreck. Pinang Island, a generally rocky area, has steep drop-offs that provides shelter to giant stingrays, groupers, large school of barracudas and sometimes whale sharks. Aur also has other good dive sites and many more to be discovered.

Dayang Island Resort was founded in 1988 by a group of sports divers and anglers who share a passion for offshore adventure. It started as a charter boat business specializing in Black Marlin fishing, escorting mainly middle aged executives and business people from Singapore. Today, it owns an executive beach resort on Dayang island and offers a variety of activities like scuba diving, snorkeling and picnicking. Visitors usually come in groups of six or more and mainly over the weekends from the month of February till November. All programs are charged at very affordable prices inclusive of meals , accommodation, boat and transfers.
